Located within the Belfountain Conservation Area, the Trimble Trail is a side trail of the Bruce Trail and is therefore marked with blue paint blazes. Named in the memory of Roy and Eleanor Trimble, a life long resident and historian of the Village of Belfountain, the 1.5 kilometre trail routes along the steep slopes of the West Credit River Valley to the Forks of the Credit. In the late 1800s this valley was the site of extensive quarrying operations that saw the removal of the brownstone used to construct the Ontario Legislature and Old City Hall in Toronto.
